SARAH BRIGHTMAN IN CONCERT AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL, an evening of musical enchantment with one of Broadway and London's most mesmerizing leading ladies.

Brightman's voice has won acclaim the world over. In Japan, she has long been celebrated as an opera star. In Germany, she is known as a singer who harmoniously fuses classical and pop music. In England and America, she is famous for her work in musical theater. Now, Brightman brings her exceptional talent to a concert performance with the English National Orchestra conducted by Paul Bateman, and special guests Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and composer Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Sarah Brightman rose to international fame when she created the role of "Christine" in Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera. When she later crossed the Atlantic to perform in the musical's original Broadway company, she captured the hearts of America's theater fans as well. She has also appeared in Aspects of Love and toured extensively in The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, a concert of his compositions.

The special features "Time to Say Goodbye," her duet with Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli. Another memorable moment reunites her exceptional voice once again with the piano accompaniment of Lloyd Webber for "Whistle Down the Wind." Other featured songs include "O Mio Babbino Caro" (from Puccini's Gianni Schicchi), "Summertime" (Porgy and Bess), and "Music of the Night" (Phantom of the Opera).

SARAH BRIGHTMAN IN CONCERT AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL represents PBS' long tradition of offering the very best in performance specials.
