Nella Fantasia
written by Music: Ennio Morricone & Italian lyrics: Ferrał original English lyrics could have been written by Brightman herself and then translated by
This introduction is best said in the words of Sarah Brightman herself - from her One Night in Eden DVD "My next song was originally an instrumental written by the composer Ennio Morricone for the film The Mission. About three years ago I wrote Mr. Morricone, asking if he would give me permission to turn this particular piece into a song. He flatly refused. So every two months I would send yet another begging letter, until I think he got so sick of me he finally relented. And I am really glad that he did, because I think it works beautifully as a song."
The music originally is called Gabriel's Oboe from the film The Mission. many artists have since Sarah's original version recorded the song - a few of which are available to listen to below.

In my fantasy I see a just
world
Where everyone lives in peace and honesty I dream of a place to live that is
always free Like a cloud that floats
Full of humanity in the depths of the soul |
